Ludlow Jobs Fair

The Studio in Harley College, Castle Square, Ludlow, in the West Midlands is hosting a Jobs Fair on 23rd April 2014 between the hours of 10am and 1pm.  The Jobs Fair is being sponsored by Philip Dunne who is MP for Ludlow and he is asking anybody in the area who want to further their careers or training to attend this event. Philip Dunne says that he wants to do everything he can for people to achieve work positions in the local area and, to help local businesses who are looking to expand their business to find suitable staff.
On the day there will be 30 companies and training providers present;  these include Barchester Health, Tesco, Esterform (Specialized  Packaging), Muller England (Precision Engineers),  Shropshire Fire & Rescue, the Armed Forces, Nova Training and the National Careers Service.
There will also be a Jobs Board available on-site.
In 2013 there was a similar Jobs Fair held in the same location which was attended by nearly 300 people who visited the exhibits of 34 companies offering 130 job positions.
Jane Gibson can be contacted on 01584 872187 for any businesses wanting to exhibit or make a posting on the jobs board.

24/4/14 Update.
It turned out to be a very successful Jobs Fair with 140 jobseekers attending the 29 exhibitors who, between them had 125 job vacancies on offer. This was a lower attendance than the previous year and that, according to the sponsor Philip Dunne, was because of the falling jobseekers claimants numbers in his constituency. The exhibitors (both employers and training providers) reported lots of interest in the jobs/opportunities on offer and are hopeful of a good uptake in the future.
